Q - Do I need to attend the design session and the three drop-in studios?
A - The series has been designed for participants to attend all activities, but it is not compulsory. Best come to the design session tho.
Q - Can I attend both series? The flag and writing?
A - Yes, they are designed to complement each other, but both series stand alone.
Q - Can I participate in the same series in different groups in the community?
A - Yes, you are welcome to participate in the same series with different groups/people in the community.
Q - If I'm figuring out my sexual identity, can I attend if I am questioning?
A - Yes you can.
Q - I have no art experience, can I still participate?
A - Yes, the sessions have been designed for all levels of art experience.
Q - Do I need to submit what I create?
A - Ideally, yes, the program is designed to foster a sense of community, not just locally, but also to the community and organisations across the state.
Q - Can I submit my work anonymously?
A - Yes you can.
Q - Will I get my flag back?
A - We recommend you take a digital image of the work as your flag will be sewn into the large flag as part of the project.
Q - What is an ally?
A - Someone who supports the rights and well-being of gay individuals and the broader LGBTQ+ community.
Q - Can my ally attend the workshops with me?
A - Yes they can. Note; to hold the space for everyone, ideally, an ally would be around the same age as you, up to 26 years.
Q - How many people will be at the studio?
A - Between 3 to 12 people.
Q - What is the age group
A - The project has been designed for 14 - 26 years. Different studios may run multiple studios for simular age groups. We can provide you with your local studio's details.
